Wine Enthusiast November 2023 Buying Guide

91 Points

Staysail 2021 Grenache Blanc (Sonoma Coast). Very smooth in texture, nicely savory and complex in flavor, this outstanding low-alcohol wine brings minerals, dried herbs and dried apples to the palate, and echoes toasty, nutty nuances on the finish. Its savory slant suggests pairing with mushrooms and meaty dishes.

High Quality, Limited Quantity Wines

Our Cabernet Franc was sourced from a vineyard that was located at the southern end of Dry Creek Valley. The vines themselves were approximately 33 years old age and dry farmed. This combination caused lower yields in the vineyard that enabled an increased concentration in the flavor of the fruit.

The goal was to create a wine that struck a balance between the light and elegant Cabernet Francs of the Loire Valley and the bigger and extracted style that has risen out of California.

Mission accomplished!
